About us
In Kenya, many young girls face the harsh reality of teenage pregnancy, often leading to stigma, disrupted education, and limited opportunities. Teen mothers frequently struggle to access essential healthcare, emotional support, and skills training, which can leave them vulnerable to poverty, social isolation, and poor mental health. Without a safe environment and practical support, these young mothers and their children face an uncertain future.
Recognizing this urgent need, the Kitale Family House of Hope Teen Mothers Rescue Centre is committed to providing a sanctuary of hope, care, and empowerment for teen mothers in the North Rift region and beyond.
What We Do
Shelter and Safety
We provide a safe, nurturing home where teen mothers and their babies can live free from stigma, abuse, and neglect. This secure environment is critical for their healing and growth.
Health and Well-being
We ensure teen mothers receive prenatal and postnatal care, mental health support, and nutrition education to promote healthy lives.
Family Reintegration and Advocacy
Where possible, we facilitate safe reunification with supportive families and educate communities to reduce stigma. We also advocate for policies that protect the rights and dignity of teen mothers.
Counseling and Emotional Support
Teenage motherhood can be emotionally overwhelming. Our trained counselors provide ongoing psychosocial support, helping young mothers to process trauma, build resilience, and regain self-esteem.
Education and Skills Training
We help teen mothers continue their education or learn vocational skills such as tailoring, crafts, and entrepreneurship. This equips them with the tools to become financially independent and confident.
