I am Peterson Sirengo, one of the Kitale Family House of Hope beneficiaries. I am currently at Zetech University located in Ruiru Town in Kiambu county. My journey with Kitale Family House of Hope started when I was in grade five back in 2014. I am a second born of 5 children. Being raised by a single mother was sometimes challenging, she would struggle to raise funds to pay school fees for us and provide our meals and other basic needs. Kitale family house of hope academy showed up and gave us hope and education. I am eternally grateful.

Through the support from the school principal and the whole administration, I completed my primary education and immediately joined a high school: Goseta Boys High. Throughout my high school education, life was made easy to the extent that they offered to cater Kitale Family House of Hope catered for my school fees and other basic needs that I required till I graduated from high school. Right now I am in the university pursuing a degree in Business Administration and management.

They say that blood makes us family but being part of kitale Family showed me that family are the ones who are going to stand with you, to support your dreams, to fulfill your career and I can safely say that Kitale Family has become my family and they have found a home in my heart. I am who I am because of Kitale Family House of Hope. Thank you so much Kitale Family for your continued support, we fight this battle together and the victory is ours to celebrate together.

Your unwavering support as a beneficiary has been a beacon of hope in my educational journey. Kitale Family has been by my side since my high school days at St. Mark's Boys High School in Cherangani. I was struggling with paying fees, being a half-orphan and coming from a very humble background. I was a mere person, but now I am pursuing higher education with a dual degree in Software Engineering at Kirinyaga University and Computer Science at the University of People's online campus. I have always aspired to be a tech major, and now this entire dream is coming true.

JOSEPH MUDENYO

Kenyatta University | BSc Education

My name is Joseph Mudenyo and this is my story. My mother died when I was 4 years old. I was taken to my father's home. And because at that time my father was not able to take care of me I had to stay with my grandparents The late Bishop George Mudenyo. I had a difficult childhood. All my legs and even hands had been attacked by jiggers. causing wounds in my feet thus; I was unable to walk properly. I stayed at home looking after cows and weeding farms for food while my age mates went to school. Though I wished to go to school, I was unable to because of poverty and had no one to support my education and my well-being.

I was rescued by Kitale Family which is my second home. I received treatment for the jiggers and was enrolled to school, which was my greatest dream. I joined school late and I was always the biggest and oldest in every class. This did not demoralize me because I Had a team of people who would provide for me, pray with me and counsel me. Through Kitale Family, I joined Bwake Boys Secondary School and later Joined Kenyatta University where I pursued a degree in Education.

I am grateful To the Kitale Family fraternity. I am grateful to Bishop Edward Khaoya for his mentorship. Indeed they say that the best teacher is the one who grooms his or her students to become more than him or her. For sure Dr. EDWARD KHAOYA has surpassed that. Today I being one of his students, I can attest that he has groomed me to become a teacher by profession. I am finding myself more drawn to charity and helping people. At the same time due to his leadership skills, I have also learnt a lot. I was able to vie for the member county assembly seat in the 2022 election and came in second. I believe that victory will be ours in the next election.

MRS ASHANGA'I

Widow & Mother of Seven

I am Mrs Ashangai a window and a mother of seven children, six in secondary and five in primary school. My husband died five years ago leaving us this small piece of land and a one room house that was almost falling.

I thank God that House of Hope helped me to burry my late husband. After the burial, they started assisting me food and other necessities. On top of that they took my seven children to a nearby school bought for them uniform and other school requirements. 2 of my children have finished school and the rest are in school.

Every year, House of Hope helps me to plant maize for food. I was also taught and helped to set up a kitchen garden and a poultry project to supplement the help we are receiving. House of Hope also built for me a better house. I am forever indebted to Kitale Family. May God bless and increase you.

DANIELA EMBASA

Presbyterian University | Education Science

Daniela Embasa is my name. Born in a small village of Liyavo. Am 22years old. Am currently in Kiambu County at Presbyterian University of East Africa pursuing Education Science, fourth year. I got sponsored by good Samaritans, Kitale Fmily House of Hope through Dr Edward Khaoya with Madam Nancy Khaoya who have been my father and mother , motivation and mentor since my Primary level at Namanjalala primary school and my High school at Bwake Girls.

Sometimes I wonder as to why a person who is not even related to me by blood supports me unconditionally without expecting something else in return. The only thing we give them in return is just working smart and to some point giving back to the society. No words can be used to express how grateful I am for sacrificing your love in order to support me, my God bless you. Am really thankful for all you support and I promise to follow your paths.
